Best Sports Masseuse in Minnesota

roisIn thompson

Roisin is a licensed acupuncturist and massage therapist with a strong interest in both sports medicine and the body-spirit connection. Her decade spent as a competitive swimmer and her strong science background keep her fascinated with the workings of the human body while her personal health journey has solidified her conviction that when the body is in its best balance, so are the heart and mind.

While pursuing her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science, she recognized early warning signs of the depression she had watched other family members struggle with. A friend recommended her to acupuncture and she firmly believes that this introduction has been an integral and indispensable part of maintaining her health without pharmaceutical interventions. After over a decade of quizzing her physicians on their practice she decided to study Chinese Medicine for herself in 2012.

Roisin also strongly believes in the healing power of touch and integrates some form of manual therapy into almost all of her acupuncture sessions. She is currently working with the University of Minnesota’s Track Team as a massage therapist and is pursuing an advanced certification in Sports Medicine Acupuncture.
